Scott spent the first 15 years of his 23-year career with two of the national (Big 4) accounting and consulting firms. Before joining LBA in 2004, he owned his own consulting firm. Scott was named a partner in the firm in January 2009.

 

In addition to his CPA designation, Scott is also a Certified Forensic Accountant, a Certified Forensic Consultant and a Diplomate of the American Board of Forensic Accounting. He oversees the firm’s Audit Department and focuses his own practice on LBA’s not-for-profit clients.

 

Scott received his bachelor’s degree from Long Island University and his master’s degree from the University of North Florida. He serves on the board of directors for the Duval Unit of the American Cancer Society and is a member of the American College of Forensic Examiners Institute and an associate member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Scott enjoys mixed martial arts and holds a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and a brown belt in Shotokan, which will come in handy as the father of two daughters!
